I was happily minding my own business last weekend. I was in a company of amazing people at an amazing place. When it was all interrupted for a moment.
Someone forwarded me a piece of news.
That had me in it.
A bit of context, I don’t look for news anymore. I find that reading the news, even when it has nothing to do with me, drains me lately. So I’d rather seek other forms of knowledge instead – Quran and books for when I’m seeking knowledge, useful podcasts and funny memes for the lighter moments.
But somehow, I’ll never be able to fully be away from it. Because it still comes to my attention – people would forward or DM.
Especially if my name or picture was used to amplify the news.
Here we go again, I would always think.
And that’s exactly what happened last weekend…
