Vanity has always been my struggle.
The need to look nice, to look “perfect”, to look put together at all times. While knowing there’s no such thing as perfection but stupidly striving for the unattainable anyway. I cared a lot about how I look and have lived like that for more than three decades so far.
Then one day, bammmm, God tested me with lupus.
I shared in #3 how my lupus came about.
I think things started cracking after the covid vaccination. I developed allergies I never had before, and once I was hit with influenza, my lupus got activated. I guess my immune system was compromised, even though on the outside, I was never a sickly person.
But it wasn’t the lupus that tested my vanity…
