In these two weeks alone, I learned about a dear friend’s father passing away, another friend’s father, a wonderful dUCkie who I know who was battling cancer, a friend’s aunt and just a couple days ago, one of the fathers in my children’s school. With each passing, they leave behind many loved ones – a spouse with an aching heart, children with many questions, family whose tears fall especially at night and friends who regret not doing more.

So many deaths. 😭

Then yesterday I watched an AI documentary on the Prophet s.a.w. and was reminded of all the deaths around him – his dad before he was born, his mom when he was six, his grandpa when he was eight, his uncle, then shortly after was his beloved wife during the hardest time of his life. All his sons died, then all his daughters but one died, and that one daughter (Fatima r.a.) died six months after his passing.

Like… howwww?

How does a human being not get horribly ruined by loss after loss after loss.

But God’s wisdom is something we may never understand.

Perhaps…
