“You don’t have to pack for me, Mom, I’ll do it myself,” Sarah said to me.
She was packing for camp.
My little 7-year-old going for camp in the jungle. In the wilderness. With tigers and bears. Ok I exaggerate. But she’ll be sleeping in a tent and showering in the river, so it’s camping fr fr.
As I saw her getting excited for her first big camp, my heart broke a little. My youngest daughter is growing up and I’m not ready for this. I looked at Idris and said to him, “You can’t grow up so fast like her, ok?” He replied an insincere “Ok.” I’ll accept, thank you.
“Are you going to miss me, Sarah?” I asked her.
“Hmmm yeah maybe, whatever.”
