Free Fridays: Armor up.
6 February 2026
I just couldn’t.
I had to stop reading and scrolling.
Because the Epstein files were really hard to swallow.
I mean, this was the world I idolized so much – the billionaires, the entrepreneurs, the successful companies, the global conferences. Bill Gates, Richard Branson, Deepak Chopra, Elon Musk… all these entrepreneurs whose books I read and recommended to people. And they’re somehow all part of the conspiracy of the world’s darkest network.
These aren’t small booboos that can be easily forgiven. We’re discovering sex trafficking, prostitution, child porn, devil worshipping, murder, cannibalism… what on earth. And they all knew but protected it, smiling and shaking hands in their suits at “respected” conferences. I felt so disgusted because I’ve met some of these people before, at a distance, and I remember thinking I hope to be them one day. Not knowing what we know now.
And these are just the information we know. So much information was redacted so there’s a lot more that they withheld.
You know what is more unfortunate? That nothing will happen. They will get away with it, it’ll just be quieted down and they’ll continue living life. Worse is that we’ve come to a stage in this world that they own everything – the financial systems, the banking systems, the education systems, healthcare systems, retail systems … – we have no choice but to use the systems they created, keep banking with them, keep relying on their medicine, keep using their credit cards… making them richer and more powerful.
The more I learned about the evil of mankind, the more I wanted Allah swt.
If you’re a person of faith, you know that this world is just a delusion - a temporary playground. I mean, we’ve seen the proof of it everyday – that people die. And so, this world is truly just a stopover. And if we learn the Quran, we’ve already been told that Iblis has promised to deviate us humans – to blind us from the truth and to make us ungrateful as believers. How blind are we that we just can’t see truth anymore when it’s in plain sight? Reminders are already everywhere. And yet we’re not scared.
But if there’s anything good from the Epstein files, it’s that I’m seeing sooo many people on social media turn to their faith. Because without faith, you’ll bend towards whatever seems attractive to you – wealth, material success, power. You’ll follow these role models and worship them. And evil things are suddenly normalised and hidden behind such power and wealth. And you’ll love the power to the point you can’t see the wrong anymore.
In Surah Al-Baqarah, “… do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.” (Quran 2:208)
But how could we not? Movies, music, concerts, clubs, alcohol, sex, power, wealth, beauty – all of it taste so good, we taste a bit and want more and more. It was designed to distract us and once in, we’re hooked.
Trapped.
Ka-ching.
Satan’s KPI, check.
He’s laughing at us.
Too easy for him.
So the only way to not be a slave to these things – strong faith. Strong values. The more I learn the religion, the more I see the beauty it promotes – respect for people, equality, kindness, family, discipline, helping the poor, helping orphans, not oppressing others, good manners, accountability. The complete opposite of the world of Epstein and Friends.
It’s not too late for us.
What’s happened now is that it’s opened our eyes to the darkness and evil that exist. And the disgust we feel for it.
So, what do we do from here?
Strengthen ourselves and our children.
Fill our souls with iman so nothing else can penetrate. Be so unshakeable in our good values that we don’t flinch when tempted by evil. Protect our time from useless gossip – fill it up instead with solat, quran, zikir and doa. Save our feet from entering bad places – take them instead to good places. And teach our children to armor themselves up with these too – we brought them into this world, we have to get them ready for it.
Am I being extreme? Well, in this twisted world we live in now that bombing children and sex-trafficking young girls go unpunished, I think there’s no better time than now to armor up our souls as much as we can.
In the midst of chaos, there’s a beautiful verse that brings us all back to centre…
“Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.” – (Quran 13:28)
I definitely needed a reminder of that verse this week.
One of the ways to remember Him? Just look at His creations around us and immerse ourselves in the realisation of how great and powerful Our Creator is.
Before you go…
Let me know you’ve read this. Comment “armoring up!” on my latest post at @sincerelyvivy.
See you there! :)

Armouring up
It is so disturbing. My heart breaks thinking about those victims and how scared they must been. Not even jail is enough subhanallah
