There’s so much I want to write about our launch week, but I’ll need this weekend to gather my thoughts so I’ll save it for my next posts for you!
But here are some random things I want to remember from Just Gimme’s launch that I’d love to share:
When stock arrived and we tumpang our friend’s office. She’s God-sent!
We couldn’t launch yet because the delivery boxes hadn’t arrived. The moment they arrived, we were like uh-oh no space! Helppppp.
Seeing these glossy tins make my heart so happy. I wanted health supplements to be fun and exciting and vibrant, like as if you’re getting candy!
The moment Fadza wanted to test the airway bill printer and he said “It’s not working”… because he didn’t turn the switch on. Bye.
I didn’t want bubblewrap. So honeycomb paper it is! We ran out because we underestimated, so I had to call Asma’ to steal some of hers from Gigi warehouse. Thank God for her.
While Fadza was busy working on the website and payment gateway stuff. Did not look fun. I chose to pose with my berry tin instead - what I do best 😂
I shared my steroid-moonface-and-weightloss journey on instagram. I showed picture of myself at 53kg and now 47kg. And look la my husband zikir. Stuck with me at any kg, babe.
Alhamdulillah, orders came pouring and we needed the floor already.
My sister gave us her old phone to use as the “company phone”. And in the thick of the packing, suddenly her “parental control” came on. We all started laughing. And then panicked because we couldn’t access the phone anymore.
Our extra unpaid packer on the first day. She came to celebrate me, despite having a hectic day herself and four children she ignored that night for me. 😂
“Let’s bring the kids to the office! Maybe they can help us pack"!” Never again.
My online family is so so so kind. I received so many messages from my followers all over the world. This one was particularly memorable for me because she wants to start her own business too, Masyaallah!
Last time we had a whole warehouse with hundreds of employees. Now, it’s you and me, babe, so let’s make those boxes faster, stop smiling.
One of our doas for starting this business is that it never takes us away from Allah swt and our deen. This business isn’t going to be our life, God is. I loved this reminder I saw on Instagram, putting in perspective that rizq is not just money from business.
And ending with my favourite photo from launch week:
Here we go again, my love.
Alhamdulillah for EVERYTHING. How God made is so smooth for us, how He brought people around us to help us, how He made us meet strangers who could help us, how He kept us together strong so we can build again, with purpose this time.
💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼😘👍🏻
Can kids consume it too, v?
