If I could improve one thing about our education, it’s that we should have been taught financial management. I was in science stream so I didn’t even learn any basics whatsoever of economics or accounting or anything to do with finance. And as we grow older, all these were “faham-faham je la”. You were expected to understand and it was embarrassing to not know the basics of managing money. Especially in your 30s, then your 40s, and so on, you’re constantly catching up. And there are many things you wish you had done sooner - salary allocation, investments, passive income, insurance etc.

But we’re not alone! I watched a podcast and this financial guru said her millionaire friends just put money in the bank account. She was shocked that even great entrepreneurs made the worst decisions when it comes to their own personal finance.

I met Dr Adam Zubir and wife Bella, and in one conversation, he taught me so much about the very basics that I needed to hear. He’s so friendly, and didn’t try to sell me anything - which I love haha. He is the co-founder of Absorich, a financial education platform with 100,000 participants and over 1 million followers across various social media platforms. I asked him lots of questions and he walked me through the art of money. I appreciated it a lot and thought it would be nice to share this knowledge with my subscribers.
